Well I finally got my hands on one the most highly anticipated exclusives for the PS3.  I haven't started playing yet but cant wait to jump in. Good thing I finished GTA IV a couple of days prior, it would be chore to juggle both games at the same time no 100% in GTA but im working on it 70.5%.

The game came with a cool art book as well as the history and time line of the Metal Gear series if you pre-ordered.  This will help some who are new to the series since the story is one of the most complex I have seen in any game series.

I picked up the new Metal Gear Solid IV bundle at walmart today and these babies are going to be hard to find after they have been all sold out.  This model brings back the PS1 and PS2 emulation for backwards compatibility that was lost when they introduced the 40GB model.  Also in the package is a brand new copy of Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of the Patriots as well as a DUALSHOCK 3 rumble controller.  If you guys are interested or know anyone who might be head over to my auction on ebay.

After all these weeks of waiting patiently for the WWDC 2008 conference the next generation iPhone has been announced.  The new phone will support the faster 3G network, support GPS and a slew of other options as well as software to bear in mind the interest of the enterprise user (Exchange Mail and security services such as VPN).  The announcement could not have come at a better time.  My Verizon contract ended last month and Apple is touting a $199 price point for  the 8GB mode, I'm sold.

I was flipping through the channels one day and stumbled upon a great movie that I have heard of many times, but never cared to watch.  The movie was Pan's Labyrinth, written and directed by Guillermo Del Toro. The story takes place during the Spanish Civil War and Guillermo wonderfully combines a story of a war torn country along with the adventures of a young girl in a fantasy world.

I was so impressed with the film that I was eager to experience more his work. Below are two additional movies that I think anyone will find as enjoying as Pan's Labyrinth.  First is "The Devil's Backbone" which is also written and directed by Mr. Del Toro and continues his use of the Spanish Civil war as a backdrop for his story telling. The other is the Orphanage directed by Juan Antonio Bayona but presented by Guillermo Del Toro.

All of these movies are shot on location in Spain, so knowing how to read is a must (Subtitles) for our non Spanish speaking friends, nether the less these movies are great you will not be dissapointed.

I was on one of my favorite gaming blogs Kotaku and ran across a very interesting story.  The author wrote a great article, on how his dad introduced him to gaming. He goes on to share his memories of playing games with dad and how the evolution of gaming has taken a toll on his old mans reflexes.  The story eventually gets into the 70 year old dads fascination with the latest installment of the Grand Theft Auto series. 

So my question is at what age do we stop playing games? Is there an age limit to when we should stop playing video games?  I ask this question because certain people feel that it's childish to enjoy games or there are more productive things to do with our time.  I for one am a 29 year old who has been into gaming and enjoying it since the age of 8, I am sure there are people much older than me that feel the same way. I took these picture almost a year ago when I went on vacation to Costa Rica and Nicaragua.  I by no means consider myself an excellent photographer nor do I have any schooling on photography, I just point and shoot.  However I do think I take some really good pictures at times, here are some of the best.  Let me know what you think, maybe I'll post some more.

Native to Costa Rica and Nicragua is the Pisote in English Coati, I kept on calling it a Lemur until I found the actual name translation.

Here is a picture of the volcano Poas at the Volcan Poas National Park.  I was lucky to get such a great shot, literally 3 minutes later the fog rolled in and you could not see a thing.

The democratic primary is winding down and with a few states left, we will soon know who our nominee for the democratic party will be.  I am strong supporter of Barack Obama but who ever wins the nomination will definitely change history, the following contests are left.
